Podcast Engineer and Editor

We are seeking a part-time Podcast and Video Post-Production Engineer and Editor for the Advancing Cyber podcast.
The Post-Production Engineer / Editor work with the Advancing Cyber team once guests are identified and scheduled and the substance of the episode is finalized to lead the recording, software setup, editing, sound design (sourcing), and posting of the final product to Spotify, Apple Podcasts, and YouTube. We're looking for someone passionate about podcasting and looking for a role that will give them firsthand experience with producing professional audio and video podcasts.

We record 1-2 hour-long episodes a month, and 2-3 short video episodes (10-20 minutes) a month. Opportunity to expand role into more social media and content development for the right candidate.

What You'll Do:
• Lead audio or video recordings with show host and guests
• Recording with Riverside
• Using software like Descript, Adobe Creative Cloud, Canva to edit, create graphics, etc.
• Create or re-use Advancing Cyber branding, graphics, captions
• Manage end-to-end production workflow, ensuring high-end quality audio or video output and quick turnaround with quality sound engineering, adding intro/outro music, transitions, and mixing / mastering
• Create reels, shorts, trailers, teasers, or soundbites for additional promotional opportunities
• Maintain a strong content library, organizing footage, soundbites, and archives for re-use
• Ensure consistency with branding, tone, and storytelling
• Track engagement with content and shows

Qualifications:
• Video Production and Audio & Video Editing skills
• Knowledge of video production techniques and software
• Ability to work independently with a friendly group of people who love cybersecurity
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Interest in cybersecurity a plus

Our Ideal Candidate:
• 2+ years of experience producing or editing podcasts, video, or digital media
• Self-starter, organized, creative, detail-oriented, and curious
• Passionate about podcasts
• Experience using Descript, Riverside, Adobe, and similar editing software
• Excellent writing and communication skills
