Podcast Audio & Video Editor + Content Creator (Comedic Podcasts – Snappy Editing & Captions)

Job Overview:
We are looking for a creative, fast-thinking Podcast Audio & Video Editor + Content Creator to help us produce fun, snappy, and engaging podcast episodes. Most of our podcasts are comedic, so we want someone with a great sense of timing and humor who can make the content even more entertaining through editing.

You will be provided with raw recordings — sometimes audio-only, sometimes audio + video — and your job will be to:
• Sync, edit, and polish full podcast episodes (audio & video)
• Add captions and graphics for visual interest
• Create attention-grabbing short clips (Reels, TikToks, YouTube Shorts) to highlight the best/funniest Upgrade to see actual infonts
• Create eye-catching YouTube thumbnails
• Make the content fun, fast-paced, and engaging
• Organize files and assist in managing content archives

Bonus: We’d love to find someone who’s interested in eventually learning how to upload and deploy podcasts to platforms like Spotify, Apple Podcasts, and YouTube.

Responsibilities:

Podcast Editing & Production
• Clean up audio (remove background noise, level voices, cut filler words like ums/ahs)
• Sync video and audio when needed
• Cut out dead air and unnecessary sections to keep the pacing snappy and engaging
• Add intro/outro music, sound effects, and creative edits that match a comedic tone
• Add captions/subtitles for both full episodes and short clips
• Create fun YouTube thumbnails that match the tone of the show
• Organize files and label them properly for easy reference

Short-Form Content Creation (Reels, TikToks, Shorts)
• Identify funny, viral-worthy Upgrade to see actual infonts from each episode
• Cut, caption, and format vertical clips for Instagram Reels, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts
• Add text overlays, zoom cuts, Upgrade to see actual infos, or animations to enhance comedic impact
• Help maintain a consistent style and voice across platforms

Optional Growth Area (Training Provided)
• Learn how to upload and deploy full episodes to Spotify, Apple Podcasts, YouTube, etc.
• Assist with writing basic episode titles, descriptions, and show notes


Required Skills & Experience:
• Proven experience editing podcasts (audio & video)
• Strong video editing skills for short-form content (Reels, Shorts, TikTok)
• Excellent storytelling ability — you know how to spot the funniest or most engaging Upgrade to see actual infonts and highlight them
• Comfortable adding captions, text overlays, and simple graphics
• Experience creating YouTube thumbnails
• Strong sense of comedic timing and understanding of how to edit for humor
• Familiar with tools like Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, CapCut, or Descript
• Strong English comprehension — you need to understand the jokes and cultural references to make smart editing decisions
• Highly organized — you’ll be handling multiple episodes and projects at once


Preferred (But Not Required):
• Familiarity with podcast hosting platforms like Spotify for Podcasters, Anchor, or Podbean
• Experience deploying full episodes to podcast directories
• Basic graphic design skills (for thumbnails or social posts)
• Previous work with comedic content, YouTube channels, or Upgrade to see actual info-style content is a big plus
• Interest in growing with the role and eventually taking on content planning and strategy input
