Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced PPC Manager to lead the development, execution, and optimization of paid search campaigns across both Google Ads and Bing Ads. The ideal candidate will have a hands-on understanding of both platforms and proven success managing large-scale, complex campaigns with significant budgets. You will be responsible for delivering results-driven campaigns that align with client goals while maintaining a deep understanding of industry best practices. Previous experience working at Google or a strong insider knowledge of Google Ads best practices is highly advantageous.
As a PPC Manager, you’ll be the go-to expert for all things paid search and will have a direct impact on client performance. The role requires a strategic mindset, data-driven decision-making, and the ability to maintain clear and effective communication with both internal teams and clients.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Paid Search Strategy & Execution:
Campaign Development & Management: Develop, launch, and manage paid search campaigns on Google Ads and Bing Ads, ensuring they are aligned with client objectives and maximize ROI. This includes campaigns on Google Search, Display, YouTube, Shopping, and Bing Search.
Keyword Research & Audience Targeting: Conduct extensive keyword research, competitor analysis, and audience segmentation to identify growth opportunities. Develop comprehensive strategies based on these insights to optimize targeting and bidding.
Campaign Optimization: Continuously analyze and refine campaigns to improve performance metrics such as CPC, CTR, CPA, and ROAS. Implement A/B testing strategies for ad creatives, landing pages, and bidding strategies to maximize conversions.
Ad Copy & Creative Strategy: Work closely with the creative team to ensure that ad copy, creatives, and landing pages are optimized for user engagement and aligned with campaign goals.
2. Client Communication & Consultation:
Client Liaison: Serve as the main point of contact for clients, providing expert consultation on all Google Ads and Bing Ads strategies. Clearly communicate campaign progress, adjustments, and results to ensure client satisfaction and alignment with business objectives.
Performance Reporting: Regularly prepare and present in-depth performance reports, including key performance metrics (CPC, CTR, CPA, ROAS) and actionable insights. Use these reports to showcase campaign successes and provide strategic recommendations for optimization.
Strategic Guidance: Offer strategic recommendations to clients, advising on how to improve campaign performance, expand reach, or address performance challenges. Proactively identify opportunities for growth.
Client Relationship Management: Build and nurture strong relationships with clients, becoming a trusted advisor on paid search and digital marketing. Ensure high levels of client satisfaction, resolve campaign-related issues, and manage client expectations effectively.
3. Budget Management & Performance Tracking:
Budget Oversight: Manage and optimize client budgets across both Google Ads and Bing Ads to ensure campaigns are efficient and within budget. Track and report on budget pacing and ensure that client goals are met while maximizing ROI.
Performance Tracking & Analysis: Utilize Google Analytics, Microsoft Advertising Intelligence, Google Tag Manager, and other analytics platforms to monitor campaign performance in real time. Assess KPIs such as CPC, CTR, CPA, and ROAS to ensure campaigns are delivering results within the defined parameters.
Optimization: Make data-driven decisions to optimize campaigns for better performance. Adjust bids, keywords, targeting, and ads based on performance trends and competitive insights.
4. Collaboration & Cross-Functional Alignment:
Team Collaboration: Work closely with the broader digital marketing team (SEO, Social Media, Creative, Web Development) to ensure that PPC campaigns are integrated into wider marketing and sales strategies. Align campaigns with broader business objectives, ensuring a cohesive approach across all digital channels.
Stakeholder Coordination: Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure paid search efforts align with company goals and support sales or product launch strategies.
Knowledge Sharing: Actively contribute to knowledge-sharing within the marketing team by educating peers about PPC best practices, emerging trends, and new tools or features in Google Ads and Bing Ads.
5. Industry Trend Awareness & Innovation:
Stay Current with PPC Trends: Stay up-to-date with the latest Google Ads and Bing Ads updates, features, and best practices. Attend webinars, conferences, and industry events to keep ahead of emerging trends and leverage new opportunities for clients.
Test New Strategies: Continuously evaluate and experiment with new tools, bidding strategies, and ad formats to ensure campaigns are always optimized and competitive. Propose new strategies to clients based on these findings.
6. Reporting & Data-Driven Insights:
Regular Reporting: Create and maintain regular performance reports, dashboards, and presentations to track campaign progress, analyze performance trends, and showcase ROI. Present these findings in a clear, concise manner to clients and internal teams.
Actionable Insights: Translate complex data into actionable insights that drive campaign improvements. Provide clear, data-backed recommendations to both internal and client stakeholders to guide future PPC strategies and decisions.
Attribution & Conversion Tracking: Implement and manage proper tracking systems to measure campaign effectiveness and provide accurate reporting on conversions, revenue, and other key metrics.
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience). Certifications in Google Ads and Bing Ads are a plus.
Experience:
Proven PPC Experience: Minimum of 3–5 years of hands-on experience managing PPC campaigns across Google Ads and Bing Ads. This includes experience in Google Search, Display, YouTube, Shopping, and Bing Search campaigns.
Agency or Client Experience: Experience working in a client-facing role, ideally in a digital marketing agency, managing multiple PPC accounts with large-scale budgets.
Experience at Google (Bonus): Previous experience working at Google or within a Google Partner agency is highly desirable, particularly if you have in-depth knowledge of Google Ads best practices, new features, and insights from working directly with the platform.
Technical Skills:
Google Ads & Bing Ads Expertise: Advanced proficiency in managing campaigns across Google Ads and Bing Ads, including search, display, shopping, remarketing, and video campaigns.
Analytics Tools Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of Google Analytics, Microsoft Advertising Intelligence, Google Tag Manager, and other relevant analytics and tracking tools to measure, report, and optimize PPC campaign performance.
Data Interpretation: Ability to analyze large datasets, interpret complex data, and turn insights into actionable strategies to optimize campaign performance.
Soft Skills:
Excellent Communication & Presentation Skills: Ability to explain complex PPC strategies and performance data in a clear, concise, and accessible manner for clients, internal teams, and stakeholders.
Client Management Experience: Proven experience in building and nurturing strong client relationships. Ability to manage client expectations and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner.
Problem-Solving & Proactive Mindset: Strong problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing campaign issues. Ability to think critically and take strategic action based on data.
Attention to Detail: High attention to detail, ensuring that campaign elements are precise and accurately reflect client objectives, even when working with large volumes of data.
