PHP Web Developer / Wordpress Backend Developer

Den Defenders has been in business for over 20 years, providing homeowners with services to make their homes safer and more comfortable! Specifically, we specialize in security screen doors, fireplace services, & window screen repairs.

Our marketing funnel is crucial to the business, and it is largely dependent on the quality and functionality of our website.

We are seeking an experienced PHP WordPress developer to join our team. If you’re passionate about creating fast, user-friendly, and mobile-first websites, we’d love to hear from you!

In this position, your primary responsibilities will include:

-Developing / maintaining a WordPress website, while optimizing performance and load times
-Working directly with our Marketing Manager to simultaneously work on the website together
-Utilizing multiple Elementor templates for different page types (i.e. blog posts, landing pages, about us pages)
-User Experience (UX) Design – Creating wireframes, prototypes, and mockups that illustrate interface functionality and design concepts.
-User Interface (UI) Design – Designing intuitive and visually appealing user interfaces. Ensure the UI design enhances the user experience and meets accessibility standards

What we’re offering:

We want you to succeed and grow with us, so we are offering a salary of $1200 (with a 13th month bonus in December) and the opportunity for an additional raise after 3 months. We also offer fully paid training and opportunities for continued learning and skill development!

Required Skills and Experience:

-Strong experience with WordPress
-MUST BE FAMILIAR WITH ELEMENTOR (3+ websites created)
-Strong creative and design skills, including the ability to work from concept to project completion
-Ability to create page mock up drafts in timely fashion
-Expertise in website performance optimization (load times, caching, etc.).
-Proficiency in front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
-Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills

Preferred Additional Skills:

-Experience in Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, & Illustrator
-Experience with Canva
-Experience with Google analytics event/conversions tracking
-Experience with Google tag manager tracking
