PHP + JS Superhero Needed for WP Projects (Cape Optional)

Are you a PHP + JavaScript superhero with the power to conquer WordPress challenges? Do you swoop in to rescue broken WP themes and refactor messy WP plugin code with the precision of a seasoned crimefighter? The Mighty Mo! is assembling a league of extraordinary developers, and we need YOU to help us save the day for our clients.

YOUR SUPERPOWERS WILL BE USED TO:

* Battle Bugs & Troubleshoot Baddies – Hunt down and eliminate WordPress, JavaScript, and PHP issues. Mastery of the WordPress template hierarchy and core coding concepts is essential for this mission.

* Refactor with Heroic Precision – Enhance and rewrite custom WordPress plugin code using PHP and JavaScript (sometimes rebuilding from the ground up!).

* Protect & Upgrade Websites – Ensure our clients' WordPress sites stay secure, functional, and up to date. Some missions will be simple (“Add a new section via Elementor”), while others will require deep investigation (“Why isn’t our form submitting?” or “Why is our calendar misbehaving?”).

* Team Up & Code Like a Pro – Collaborate with our internal dev squad using GitHub for version control. Stash, pull, push, branch, and merge like the coding champion you are.

* Tackle Quick Missions – Swiftly complete small tasks with a standard turnaround of 1 business day.

* Communicate & Adapt – Keep our internal team and project manager informed of any blockers or issues early and often.

* Stay Ahead of the Villains – Keep up with new WordPress technologies, including Gutenberg, Full-Site Editing, and popular page builders like Elementor and Beaver Builder. You don’t need to be an expert in all of them, but understanding their strengths and weaknesses is key.

YOUR UTILITY BELT SHOULD INCLUDE:

* Advanced WordPress Plugin Development – Strong skills in PHP and JavaScript, with the ability to integrate code into existing systems and build from scratch when needed.

* GitHub Mastery – You know your way around branches, pull requests, and collaborative coding.

* Speed & Reliability – Be prepared to handle small tasks within 1 business day while maintaining high-quality work.

* 10-15 Hours of Weekly Availability – Flexible scheduling, but with the expectation of daily communication to stay in sync with the team.  Our expectation is 2-3 hours per business day. Time of day is up to you (local time is fine).

* A Growth Mindset – The WordPress ecosystem is ever-changing, and we value developers who embrace continuous learning.

* AI Tool Proficiency – We expect you'll use Co-Pilot or whatever the hot AI tool is, but you must also have a solid foundation in WordPress templating, intermediate JavaScript, and intermediate PHP to truly wield its power.)
