The following items are REQUIRED:
- Certification in Billing and Coding.
- Proven experience as a Medical Biller or in a similar role.
- In-depth knowledge of medical terminology, coding systems, and billing procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in coding and billing processes.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with medical collection practices and insurance guidelines
- 2-4 years experience in Insurance Billing and Credentialing

Responsibilities:
- Review and analyze medical records and documentation to ensure accurate coding and billing.
- Assign appropriate medical codes using ICD-10 and/or ICD-9 coding systems.
- Verify patient insurance coverage and process claims for reimbursement.
- Communicate with healthcare providers to obtain missing or incomplete documentation.
- Follow up on denied or rejected claims and resolve billing discrepancies.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team to ensure accurate and timely billing
- Experience in Insurance Credentialing

The ideal candidate will be able to work with minimal supervision and have a strong work ethic. This is a freelance position with full-time hours, Monday through Friday, Central Standard Time.
