We are seeking a talented Online Exercise Programmer to develop high-quality, original, and engaging exercises in German for our educational platform. The exercises should be delivered as complete HTML files, including CSS and JavaScript where necessary, and should provide interactive and meaningful learning experiences for students. While examples such as number bonds (Verliebte Zahlen), number houses (Zahlenhäuser), and number pyramids (Zahlenpyramiden) represent projects that have been done before, the programmer is expected to be creative and innovative in designing new exercise formats and ideas. Examples:
The ideal candidate will design and develop mathematics exercises written entirely in German. Examples of previously completed projects include number bonds, which focus on teaching number pairs that sum to a target like 10 or 20; number houses, which arrange numbers hierarchically and focus on addition and subtraction; and number pyramids, which are logical puzzles requiring summation to calculate higher levels in the pyramid. In addition to using these as inspiration, the programmer is encouraged to innovate by designing new, original types of exercises that align with educational goals and stimulate learners. Each exercise must be submitted as a standalone HTML file with integrated CSS for styling and JavaScript for interactivity. These files should be visually appealing, user-friendly, and responsive across devices.
All exercises must be unique, copyright-free, and of high quality, ensuring there is no plagiarism or reuse of pre-existing materials. The freelancer should focus on providing a seamless learning experience with clear instructions, interactive elements, and instant feedback for users. Creativity is key, and while certain exercise formats are given as examples, freelancers are encouraged to bring their own ideas and approaches to the table. Exercises should challenge students' understanding, problem-solving skills, and logical thinking while adhering to modern educational standards. Each exercise should include detailed explanations and solutions to support the learning process.
Applicants should have a strong understanding of basic arithmetic, number patterns, and early mathematics concepts, along with proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for creating interactive online exercises. Fluency in English for communication and the ability to write exercises in perfect German are essential. The role also demands a high level of attention to detail to ensure all work is error-free, clear, and logically structured. Candidates with experience in creating educational content, a background in mathematics education or instructional design, or familiarity with interactive and gamified learning experiences will have an advantage.
