Job Description
I. JOB SUMMARY:
Under the direction of the Closing Manager, reviews approved files and prepare the files for closing.
II. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Reviews Survey & Title Commitments for liens/judgments/easements.
• Prepares loan closing documents.
• Accurately records all required information into Encompass/IDS doc prep system.
• Reviews/Approves HUD-1 within 1 hour of receipt.
• Orders wire upon HUD-1 approval/balance wire (when necessary).
• Knowledge of High Cost, FNMA 5%, HOEPA, HPML test.
• Strong working knowledge of RESPA/2010 GFE.
• Working knowledge of MDIA/TILA.
• Promptly responds to general closing questions from branches, Closing Manager, Post Closing, Title Agents and or
Accounting.
• Performs any task necessary in the absence/over flow of other Closers within the department, as needed.
• Assists in training new employees within the Closing Department, as needed.
• Adheres to minimum production standard.
• Maintains a professional image and adheres to standards consistent with company
• policies and procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.
III. JOB REQUIREMENTS:
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 3 - 5 years current closing experience, required.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to meet deadlines.
• Team Player.
• Ability to adapt quickly to a rapidly changing environment.
• Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with Title Agents, branch and corporate personnel.
• Must be able to work all regularly scheduled hours; arriving at scheduled reporting time and at the prescribed time after
any breaks or lunch periods.
• Must be able to work overtime on short notice, as required.
