Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented MiTek Designer specializing in trusses and walls to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating accurate and efficient designs using MiTek software, ensuring compliance with structural requirements, and collaborating with clients, engineers, and production teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and Drafting: Create detailed designs for trusses, walls, and related components using MiTek software, ensuring accuracy and structural integrity.
- Project Analysis: Interpret architectural and structural drawings to develop optimized designs that meet project specifications and industry standards.
- Collaboration: Work closely with engineers, architects, contractors, and production teams to ensure seamless integration of designs into construction projects.
- Material Optimization: Perform calculations to determine the most efficient use of materials while maintaining structural soundness and cost-effectiveness.
- Quality Assurance: Review and validate designs for compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and client requirements.
- Troubleshooting: Provide solutions to design challenges and support production teams during manufacturing and assembly.
- Documentation: Prepare and maintain detailed design records, reports, and project documentation for reference and compliance purposes.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a MiTek Designer, specifically for trusses and walls.
- Proficiency in MiTek software and related design tools.
- Strong understanding of structural engineering principles, building codes, and industry standards.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to interpret and work from architectural and structural plans.
- Effective communication skills to liaise with clients, engineers, and internal teams.
- Highly organized, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in wood framing or prefabricated construction.
- Certification or formal training in MiTek design software.
- Familiarity with construction processes and manufacturing workflows.
