Job Title: Medical Virtual Assistant [K-ACPTP]
Position Type: Full-Time
Work Hours: 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM EST (Potential shift to evening hours: 10 AM - 7 PM or 11 AM - 8 PM)
Work Days: Monday - Friday
Salary: $5 - $6 per hour (depending on experience)

Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced, intelligent, and proactive Virtual Assistant with solid expertise in insurance authorizations, tracking, and benefits coverage—these are the top priorities. The ideal candidate will also handle receptionist duties, data entry, claims processing, and compiling medical research and reports to support patient care and administrative needs.
This role demands a sharp individual capable of working quickly and efficiently while ensuring attention to detail and precision. With the practice’s high standards of customer service, we need someone who is resilient, open to feedback, and able to handle challenges confidently. A thick-skinned personality, a commitment to excellence, and the ability to stay on top of tasks are essential.
Key Responsibilities
•Physical Therapy Administrative Tasks: Manage referrals, update authorizations, track insurance benefits, and handle related physical therapy administrative needs.
•Insurance & Claims Processing: Manage insurance authorizations, tracking, benefits coverage, claims processing, and out-of-network insurance processes.
•Receptionist Duties: Handle inbound/outbound calls, set appointments, manage scheduling, and respond to patient inquiries via text, SMS, and phone. Client facing (with the camera ON)
•Data Management & Reporting: Enter data into EMR systems, manage insurance portals, assist with outstanding bill collections, and compile medical research and reports.
Qualifications
Relevant Experience:
•Proven experience with physical therapy-related processes, including referrals and benefits management is a must.
•Strong background in healthcare, particularly in insurance authorizations and tracking
•Proficiency in handling out-of-network claims and insurance benefits.
•Expertise in out-of-network insurance processes
•Proficiency in English communication
•Familiarity with Prompt EMR, QuickBooks, or Silna Insurance Verification Portal is a plus
•Amenable to be on a video conference during the entire shift with the camera ON.

•Video: Webcam for virtual meetings
