JOB OVERVIEW

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Medical Biller & Coder with expertise in denied and unpaid claims follow-up to join our Virtual Staffing company based in Dallas, TX. The ideal candidate must have at least 2 years of experience in medical billing and coding with a proven ability to handle claim denials, appeals, and revenue cycle management effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

- Review, analyze, and resolve denied and unpaid claims to ensure timely reimbursement (MAIN TASK)
- Work closely with insurance companies to appeal denied claims and resubmit necessary documentation.
- Verify patient eligibility, benefits, and authorization requirements.
- Manage claim corrections, adjustments, and follow-ups to minimize revenue loss.
- Ensure accurate CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding to comply with insurance guidelines.
- Monitor accounts receivable and generate reports on claim status and revenue cycle performance.
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations and payer policies.
- Collaborate with the front desk and provider teams to ensure smooth billing operations.

Requirements:

- Minimum 2 years of experience in medical billing & coding with a focus on denied claims.
- Strong knowledge of insurance policies, Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payers.
- Proficiency in medical billing software (e.g., eClinicalWorks, Kareo, NextGen, etc.).
- Experience in CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding standards.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and follow-up skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

NBI Clearance certificate is MUST BEFORE INTERVIEW IS SCHEDULED.

Preferred Qualifications:

Certification in CPC, CCS, or CPB (Certified Professional Coder/Biller) is a plus (Not absolute requirement)
Prior experience in primary care, urgent care, or specialty clinics.
