Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Medical Biller to support and manage the billing operations of our clinic. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medical billing in the mental health setting, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently as well as with others. This role is crucial in ensuring accurate and timely billing processes, contributing to the financial health of our clinic. The biller will also have a backup role as a medical receptionist.

Responsibilities:
Prepare and submit accurate medical claims to insurance companies and patients.
Review and verify patient billing information, including insurance details and medical codes.
Follow up on unpaid claims and handle claim denials.
Post payments and adjustments to patient accounts.
Maintain and update patient billing records with confidentiality.
Coordinate with medical staff to clarify billing issues.
Provide excellent customer service by addressing patient billing inquiries.
Generate and analyze billing reports.

Qualifications:
Proven experience as a medical biller preferably in the mental health setting.
Strong knowledge of medical billing procedures, codes (ICD-10, CPT), and insurance processes.
Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
Proficiency in medical billing software, Google Workspace and Microsoft Office Suite.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and take initiative.
Experience as a medical receptionist is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:
Certification in medical billing and coding.
Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems, specifically EPIC.
