We are an established, privately owned company specialising in working with worldwide med-tech and diagnostics businesses to support their entry into the UK market. Typical clients are smaller start-ups who rely on our guidance and expertise to expand into the UK market. Offering tailored strategic consultancy, product launch support, bespoke sales and distribution programmes, our success is built on having a strong understanding of the products, the UK clinical marketplace and a network of established relationships.

As we continue to grow our team we are seeking another full-time MedTech Business Development Executive to support the Business Director and work as a key member of the existing Business Development team to build relationships with potential clients and develop an ongoing business pipeline.

The role is based on working 40 hours per week, working 6.00 am – 2.00 pm UK GMT (or times to be agreed).
Typical activities will include:
• Developing identified warm leads into prospects
o Arranging appointments with identified warm leads to present YouMed.
o Preparation and delivery of company presentations.
o Understanding the client’s product and their requirements, identifying opportunities for areas of support.
o Maintaining regular client communication to find out the status of their projects.

• Generating leads through extensive online searching of potential prospects and making contact where applicable.

• Keeping clear and up to date records, liaising with colleagues as appropriate.

The Person
To be successful in the role we are looking for someone who can demonstrate the following essential qualities and skills:
• Self-starter who is comfortable working independently on a remote basis.
• Strong communicator, able to network and develop good working relationships.
• Excellent presentation skills, spoken and written English.
• Takes an organised, systematic approach keeping thorough records.
• An understanding of the MedTech/Diagnostics sector.
• Proven competency in Business Development / Medical Sales or similar.

In addition, the following would be desirable:
• Ability to demonstrate an understanding of the UK healthcare market.
• Ability to demonstrate an understanding of the development and launch cycle of a MedTech product to be able to identify opportunities for support.

Qualifications required
• Degree educated (Medical or associated)
• Laboratory experience is welcome but we are specifically looking for someone with experience of working in MedTech for a Diagnostics company
• Advanced English – both written and spoken
• Competency in Microsoft Office packages
