Logistics Operations Specialist

In this role you will be working in the logistics department managing port operations.. This entails emailing and calling port carriers and providing them with information they need to pickup loads out of the port. Managing a priority list of containers and tasks that need to be completed each day. Communicating with the customers on when containers are ready or moving order dates around based on customer needs.

Some of the responsibilities:
- Managing multiple email inboxes responding to emails and processing the information given in the email or providing information to the email sender that they requested
-Talking on the phone with drivers (vendors. A lot of the job will be making calls to carriers getting letting them know what container you need them to grab next or what empties to bring back in next
- Paying close attention to detail to make sure all information is correct in your work
- Ability to be assigned new tasks and given guidance on how to complete them and completing them on their own
- Maintain a weekly or monthly schedule of reoccurring tasks that need to be completed without being told to do them

- Hours: 7 AM to 5:00 PM (Eastern Standard Time) 30min break. Monday through Friday. Stay until the last load is picked up, additional 0-4 hrs total per week depending on if the port gets backed up or not on any given day.
