Job Overview:
As a Citation Builder, you will play a crucial role in improving our clients' local search visibility by creating and managing accurate and consistent business listings across various online directories. You will ensure that all citations are correctly formatted, up-to-date, and optimized for search engines. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Key Responsibilities:
Citation Creation & Management: Create new business listings on relevant online directories and update existing ones to ensure NAP (Name, Address, Phone number) consistency.
Data Accuracy: Verify the accuracy of all information before submission to avoid discrepancies and maintain the credibility of the client's online presence.
Directory Research: Identify new citation opportunities by researching industry-specific directories, general business directories, and niche platforms.
SEO Optimization: Ensure that all citations are optimized with relevant keywords, categories, and descriptions to improve local search rankings.
Reporting & Analysis: Monitor the performance of citations using analytics tools and provide regular reports on progress and impact.
Problem Resolution: Address any issues related to duplicate listings, incorrect information, or other citation-related problems promptly.
Collaboration: Work closely with the SEO team to align citation strategies with overall SEO goals and objectives.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in citation building or a similar role within digital marketing.
Familiarity with local SEO best practices and the impact of citations on search engine rankings.
Strong understanding of various online directories such as Google My Business, Yelp, Bing Places, Yellow Pages, etc.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
