Lead Video Editor

Hello future Lead Video Editor and teaUpgrade to see actual infomber! We are looking for a Full-Time Lead Video Editor that is skilled in following instructions, easy to work with, great communication with us and other video editors, and most importantly, a quick turnaround time (2 days max) at an acceptable quality standard we expect from our video library.

Your additional responsibilities include researching, downloading, labeling, categorizing, and cataloging media to produce videos.

First, you must be familiar with one or more of these video editing software programs, listed in order of importance with their latest version:

Adobe Premiere Pro
CapCut Pro
DaVinci Resolve
Final Cut Pro

Competency in Adobe Photoshop is a plus!

You must have a paid subscription with the only exception being is DaVinci Resolve as long as you demonstrate proficiency with DaVinci Resolve. These video editing programs are the most used in video editing for social media. We will consider other video editing programs only if it is at least equal to the the video editing programs mentioned above.

You will need to download the video folder assets we provide from Google Drive and you must read through the video instructions document we provide. If you have any questions, we expect you to ask us right away to clear any confusion and misunderstandings that you may have.

Your primary role is to follow the video instruction's document and/or text thread and/or audio notes that we provide for that specific video, assemble the video, removing swear words (very important), light audio editing, cut/edit the video for better tempo & flow as needed and reposition the video clips for better visual composition. Some color correction may be needed.

You will use the b-roll, graphics, and audio we provide, in addition to finding and using your own copyright-free b-roll, graphics, and audio to add in the video. You may use copyrighted work in accordance to Fair Use/Dealing standards, but we will discuss this further with you.

You are expected to know how to do basic motion graphics, some captions, and using special video assets like effects and especially transitions when applicable.

We will provide some of the necessary materials (video folder assets) for you to complete the video, but we want your specific video editing flair, your creativity, and your proactive approach in making a video look visually-pleasing to our viewers.

We expect a max 2-day turnaround time. Shorter the turnaround time, the better. The speed of delivering a finished quality video back to us is very important for all of our success.
