L3 – Network Engineer

ABOUT THE ROLE:
A Network Engineer’s primary focus are in designing, implementing, and managing robust network infrastructures to ensure the seamless connectivity and optimal performance of our client’s network systems. Your expertise will be essential in maintaining a secure and scalable network environment while staying abreast of emerging technologies to drive continuous improvement.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
In this role, you will get to...
1. Integrate & operationalize new network hardware (firewalls, routers, switches, APs).
2. Integrate & operationalize new software (Monitoring, BI, etc.).
3. Design & maintain advanced networking and Cloud solutions (SD-WAN, AWS).
4. Handle complex escalations for L3 support.
5. Schedule & perform regular maintenance windows to keep network up to date.
6. Conduct capacity planning assessments to anticipate network growth and scalability requirements are met.
7. Continuously integrate best automation practices to streamline operational workflows.
8. Perform other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:
On day one, we will expect you to...
-Be a current resident of the Philippines and can perform work from there
-Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
-Be able to work in one of these shifts:
-Shift One: 6:00am - 2:00pm Pacific Standard Time (Los Angeles), M-F
-Shift Two: 2:00pm - 10:00pm Pacific Standard Time (Los Angeles), M-F
-Shift Three: 10:00pm – 6:00am Pacific Standard Time (Los Angeles), M-F

1. Minimum 5 to 7 years of experience in Network Engineering & Operations
2. Minimum 3 years of Network Administration
3. BS in either Computer Science or Computer Engineering or equivalent work experience (5 years min)
4. Networking expertise equivalent to CCNP R&S level
5. Strong Wi-Fi expertise in high density deployments (multi vendors)
6. Strong working knowledge of various virtualization solutions (VMware, HyperV, KVM)
7. Good knowledge of at least one high level programing language (python preferred)
8. AWS practitioner or equivalent knowledge in Azure

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Minimum CCNA R&S or CCDA, preferred CCNP
2. Linux system administration certification (LFCS, LPT1, Linux+ or RHSA)
3. CWNA or equivalent (Ruckus Wise also acceptable)
4. AWS cloud practitioner or equivalent (GCP, Azure)
5. Hospitality/hotels network experience
6. Familiarity with DevOps concept and tools (Ansible & SaltStack)

BRAND COMPETENCIES:
1. Firewall - Fortigate, Sonicwall, (a little bit of Cisco ASA), Cisco Meraki (MX devices)
2. Switches - FortiSwitch, Ruckus, HP/Aruba, Zyxel, Cisco, Cisco Meraki (MS devices)
3. WAP - FortiAP, Ruckus, Aruba, Cisco Meraki (MR devices)
4. Cloud Management - Cisco Meraki, Ruckus Cloud, Aruba Central
