As a Junior Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for accurately recording and categorizing financial transactions in QuickBooks Online. When necessary, you will communicate directly with clients to request documents or clarification on unclear transactions. You will also be reconciling bank accounts, credit cards, lines of credit, and mortgage statements ensuring the accuracy of all recorded transactions. It will be your responsibility to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting to your assigned clients.

Type of Position: Full-time, 40 hours per week, ideally 7am-3pm CST

Position Pay: Training for first 90 days (approx.) will be $2/hr
Once training is complete there will be an automatic increase to at least $2.25/hr. Additional increases are possible with evidence of advanced experience and managing a fuller client load.

List of Job Responsibilities:
- Categorize and record financial transactions in QuickBooks Online
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, lines of credit, mortgage statements
- Request documentation and information from clients and follow up as needed
- Run payroll using ADP,Gusto, or QuickBooks Payroll
- Review and code receipts, invoices, and bills
- Maintain accurate records and information for each client
- Assist Bookkeeping Manager and Account Manager with various tasks
- Process invoices, receipts, and payments accurately and in a timely manner
- Stay updated with accounting principles, practices, regulations, and fundamentals
- Handle general admin tasks related to the bookkeeping team
- Maintain confidentiality of clients' information and handle sensitive data appropriately - this is especially important because you will be working with multiple clients


Requirements:
Proficiency in QuickBooks Online (minimum 1 year experience required)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite / Google GSuite
Previous experience in bookkeeping,accounting, or related role (minimum 1 year experience required)

Job Nice-to-Haves:
- Previous experience with payroll processing and state sales tax filing
- Familiarity with Gusto, ADP
