JOB OVERVIEW

JOB DESCRIPTION
We are seeking a future-focused and highly motivated Investment Analyst with a passion for startups, investing, and building lasting businesses. The primary focus of this role will mainly be working on listed equities (small caps) on the Nordic stock exchanges. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the investment process, working closely with the team to identify and evaluate promising investment opportunities.

Responsibilities:
- Research and Screening: Conduct thorough research and screening of potential investment targets based on pre-defined criteria. This includes analyzing financial statements, market trends, competitive landscape, and management teams.
- Investment Memo Preparation: Develop and maintain detailed investment memos summarizing key findings, investment theses, risk assessments, and potential returns for target investments. This requires synthesizing complex information into clear and concise reports.
- Portfolio Monitoring: Monitor the performance of existing portfolio companies or investments and update investment memos as needed, tracking key metrics and identifying potential risks or opportunities.
- Market Analysis: Stay up-to-date on market trends, industry developments, and regulatory changes relevant to our investment focus.
- Collaboration and Communication: Participate actively in team calls, presenting research findings, and contributing to investment discussions. Effectively communicate investment recommendations and rationale to the team.
- Due Diligence Support: Assist with due diligence processes, including gathering information, conducting interviews, and analyzing data.
- Financial Modeling: Develop and maintain financial models to evaluate investment opportunities and project potential returns.
- Ad-hoc Tasks: Perform other related tasks as required to support the investment team.

Requirements:
- Strong background in startups, investing, and building businesses.
- Analytical and structured approach to problem-solving.
- Ability to assess businesses and extract key insights.
- Strong quantitative skills, including financial modeling experience.
- Excellent research and writing skills.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field preferred.
- CFA designation or progress towards one is a plus.
