Role Overview
We are seeking a talented Interior Designer to join our team on a part-time basis and assist with various design projects. This role is perfect for a creative, detail-oriented professional who thrives in a collaborative environment and is passionate about Transitional and Coastal aesthetics. The designer will work closely with the owner to bring concepts to life, ensuring every project meets the high standards that define Carrie Interiors LLC.
Key Responsibilities
• Research Products & Create Mood Boards: Source furniture, finishes, fabrics, and decor; assemble mood boards to help clients visualize the design concept.
• 3D Renderings: Develop detailed 3D renderings using SketchUp to present layouts, finishes, and furnishings.
• Construction Documentation: Prepare floor plans, elevations, and other construction documents for contractors and trades.
• Sample Ordering: Coordinate the selection and procurement of material samples, maintaining an organized library.
• Project Coordination: Work closely with vendors, suppliers, and contractors to ensure seamless project execution.
• Client Interaction: Communicate effectively with clients, presenting ideas and gathering feedback to refine designs.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or a related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in interior design, with a focus on Transitional and Coastal aesthetics preferred.
• Proficiency in SketchUp, AutoCAD, or similar design software.
• Strong knowledge of design principles, material sourcing, and project documentation.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills.
• A portfolio showcasing relevant design projects.
