Job Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Insurance Authorization & Verification Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate would have experience in a Physical Therapy setting, That would be a huge bonus. You will be responsible for verifying insurance coverage, obtaining authorization for medical procedures, and ensuring accurate billing information. The Insurance Auth & Verification Specialist will work closely with medical staff, patients, and insurance companies to ensure timely and accurate processing of insurance claims.

Responsibilities:
Verify insurance coverage and eligibility for patients
Workers comp experience
Familiar with BCBS, Medicare, Medicaid, ETRA, Cintra, Anthem, Cigna, Help Keepers Plus
Obtain authorization for medical procedures from insurance companies
Communicate with insurance companies to resolve issues related to coverage and billing
Review and update patient insurance information in the system
Ensure accurate and timely billing of insurance claims
Collaborate with medical staff to ensure proper documentation for insurance claims
Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of the job
Adhere to all HIPAA regulations and guidelines

Skills and Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred
Minimum of 2 years of experience in insurance verification and authorization in a healthcare setting
Knowledge of insurance billing and coding practices
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic medical records systems

Requirements:
Certified Professional Biller (CPB) certification preferred
Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
Familiarity with insurance guidelines and regulations
Ability to multitask and prioritize workload
Experience working with insurance companies and healthcare providers
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
