KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Develop, customize, and maintain WordPress websites based on company and client requirements.
• Design and implement new website features, ensuring high performance, responsiveness, and user experience.
• Optimize website speed, security, and overall performance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve website issues, including bugs, broken links, and plugin conflicts.
• Develop and customize WordPress themes and plugins as needed.
• Ensure website compatibility across different browsers, devices, and screen sizes.
• Integrate third-party tools, APIs, and payment gateways as required.
• Perform regular website updates, backups, and security checks.
• Collaborate with designers, content creators, and marketing teams to align web development with branding and business goals.
• Stay updated on the latest WordPress trends, tools, and best practices to enhance website functionality.
• Manage website hosting, domains, and SSL certificates when necessary.
• Implement SEO best practices to improve website visibility and search engine rankings.

SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE HAS:
Technical Expertise:
- 2-4 years of hands-on experience in WordPress development.
- Strong proficiency in customizing themes and developing plugins from scratch.
- Solid knowledge of PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (including jQuery).
- Experience with WordPress page builders (Elementor, Divi, WPBakery).
- Strong understanding of MySQL databases and ability to perform queries and optimizations.
- Familiarity with REST APIs, third-party integrations, and WooCommerce customization.
- Knowledge of website performance optimization (caching, lazy loading, minification).
- Experience with SEO implementation and best practices for WordPress.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve WordPress bugs, errors, and security vulnerabilities.

Experience & Background:
- Proven experience in building, maintaining, and optimizing WordPress websites.
- Comfortable working with child themes and custom post types.
- Experience working in a staging environment and deploying updates without downtime.
- Strong grasp of mobile responsiveness and cross-browser compatibility.
- Experience with site migrations and backups.
- A portfolio showcasing past WordPress projects demonstrating technical skills and problem-solving.
