JOB OVERVIEW

Job Type: Hourly; Full time
Reports to: VP of Human Resources
Schedule: Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm EST (some flexibility available)

Job Overview:

The HR Assistant will provide administrative support to the US-based Human Resources department, assisting with daily operations, employee documentation, recruitment processes, and various HR projects. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, have strong organizational skills, and be able to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.

Key Responsibilities:

*Assist in the recruitment process, including posting job ads, scheduling interviews, hosting prescreens with candidates, and coordinating candidate communications
*Maintain and update employee records in HR databases and files, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality
*Prepare onboarding materials and assist in the onboarding process for new hires, including collecting and verifying documentation
*Handle day-to-day administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and responding to internal HR inquiries
*Assist in organizing employee training sessions, workshops, and company events
*Process employee requests related to HR policies, benefits, and other inquiries
*Coordinate and assist with employee engagement activities, such as wellness programs and team-building events
*Assist with employee onboarding and offboarding tasks
*Ensure compliance with company policies and employment laws by staying up to date on HR-related regulations

Qualifications:

*High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field preferred
*Minimum 4 years of experience in an administrative or HR support role.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and HR software systems
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism
A proactive approach to problem-solving and a willingness to lear
Knowledge of HRIS systems preferred
