Key Responsibilities
Patient Account Resolution
Conduct sensitive outbound communications to address past-due balances using empathetic communication techniques
Employ de-escalation strategies for complex financial discussions
Document all interactions in HIPAA-compliant CRM systems
Strategic Repayment Solutions
Design personalized payment plans aligned with patients’ financial capabilities
Negotiate settlements and hardship arrangements per organizational policies
Analyze demographic/financial data to predict payment success rates
Claims Dispute Resolution & Insurance Liaison
Investigate and appeal denied/delayed claims with commercial payers & government programs
Coordinate with clinical teams to resolve coding discrepancies
Track payer performance metrics to identify systemic billing issues
Regulatory Compliance & Audit Preparedness
Maintain current knowledge of FDCPA, TCPA, and state-specific collection laws
Prepare documentation for OIG audits and compliance reviews
Implement CMS billing updates across patient portfolios
Financial Reporting & Analysis
Generate weekly aging reports with actionable recovery recommendations
Identify trends in denials/delays to advise process improvements
Present recovery rate forecasts to leadership
Candidate Requirements
Core Qualifications
2+ years’ high-volume AR management in hospital/health system settings
Proven success reducing DSO (Days Sales Outstanding) by ?15%
Expertise in:

Technical Competencies
Advanced skills in:
