Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Grant Research and application Specialist with proven experience identifying, researching, and applying for government grants focused on minority support, low-income assistance, refinancing opportunities, and SBA (Small Business Administration) grants. This part-time remote role requires a detail-oriented professional who understands federal, state, and local grant processes, can evaluate eligibility criteria, and effectively completes application submissions.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Grant Research & Identification:
• Conduct thorough research to identify federal, state, and local government grants aligned with the client’s needs.
• Monitor new funding opportunities and policy updates relevant to minority support, low-income initiatives, and refinancing.
• Assess grant eligibility requirements and determine suitability for the client.
2. Grant Application & Writing:
• Prepare and submit well-organized, compelling grant applications within deadlines.
• Ensure all required documents, financials, and compliance criteria are met.
• Collaborate with the client to gather necessary information and craft persuasive narratives.
3. Tracking & Compliance:
• Maintain a database of grant submissions, deadlines, and status updates.
• Track the progress of applications, follow up on inquiries, and handle compliance documentation.
• Assist in grant reporting and audits if required.
4. Process Optimization:
• Develop a structured approach for grant applications, including templates and workflows.
• Provide recommendations to improve success rates and streamline the application process.
Required Qualifications:
• Proven experience in researching and applying for government grants, specifically those targeting minority businesses, low-income programs, refinancing, or SBA funding.
• Strong knowledge of federal and state grant programs and the overall grant lifecycle.
• Excellent written communication skills to draft compelling grant applications.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to analyze eligibility requirements accurately.
• Experience with government grant portals and application tracking systems.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple grants simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Prior experience in financial assistance programs, business development, or nonprofit grant writing.
• Familiarity with government agencies such as SBA, HUD, or CDFI funding.
• Knowledge of budgeting, financial statements, and reporting for grant applications.
