We are seeking a highly skilled Government Contract Specialist to join our team and manage the full lifecycle of government contracts with expertise and precision.

Position Summary

The Government Contract Specialist will be responsible for identifying, managing, and securing government contracts through the platform SAM.gov. You MUST have experience with SAm.gov. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of federal contracting regulations, excellent negotiation skills, and a proven track record of success in securing and managing government contracts. Our focus will be mostly with Nitrile and Vinyl gloves.

We will be working on Los Angeles time zone. If that is an issue, please let me know.

Key Responsibilities

1. Contract Management: Manage the complete government contracting lifecycle, from sourcing opportunities to finalizing agreements and ensuring compliance with federal regulations.

2. SAM.gov Expertise: Identify, evaluate, and respond to opportunities listed on SAM.gov, ensuring all submissions meet requirements and deadlines.

3. Proposal Development: Collaborate with internal teams to create compelling proposals, including cost estimates, technical specifications, and compliance documents.

4. Regulatory Compliance: Stay updated with FAR/DFARS regulations and ensure all contracts and operations adhere to government standards.

5. Vendor Relations: Build and maintain relationships with government agencies to support successful project execution.

6. Reporting and Documentation: Maintain accurate and organized records of contracts, amendments, and related correspondence.

7. Market Research: Conduct thorough research on government procurement trends and emerging opportunities.

8. Risk Management: Identify potential risks in contracts and propose solutions to mitigate issues.

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Government Contracts, Legal Studies, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in government contracting, including expertise with SAM.gov.
• Proven track record of successfully securing and managing federal contracts.
• Strong understanding of FAR/DFARS regulations and compliance requirements.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including proposal writing and presentation skills.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and contract management software.
• Ability to multitask and work under tight deadlines.
• Certifications: Certified Federal Contracts Manager (CFCM), DAWIA Level II or III, or equivalent is preferred.
