GIS and Database Specialist

Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated Virtual Assistant proficient in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and database management. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills and experience with QGIS and/or ArcGIS. Proficiency in Python is preferred. This is a full-time position, requiring up to 50 hours per week.

Responsibilities:
• Develop and manage GIS databases.
• Create detailed maps and geospatial solutions.
• Perform spatial data analysis and integration.
• Automate GIS-related tasks using Python scripts (if applicable).
• Interpret and map U.S. legal land descriptions, including metes and bounds.

Requirements:
• Strong technical skills with experience in QGIS and/or ArcGIS, as well as related GIS software.
• Basic understanding of U.S. legal land descriptions, including metes and bounds.
• Ability to read and map legal descriptions.
• Excellent command of English (reading, writing, speaking).
• Python programming skills preferred but not required.
• Own computer equipment and a reliable home office setup.
• Reliable internet connection (include speed test results in application).
• This must be your only job—we require full dedication to our workload and will compensate accordingly.

Work Schedule:
• Flexible schedule, but you must be available for at least 2 hours during U.S. Central Standard Time (CST) for daily meetings (This can overlap at beginning or end of your workday).
Compensation:
• Competitive salary based on experience (expected range to be determined).
• Payments will be made biweekly via Wise.
