Duties and Responsibilities
As a Staff Writer, your primary responsibilities will include:
Researching Content: Conduct thorough research to develop accurate and engaging content.
Content Creation: Write high-quality articles for our daily B2B news forums, B2B magazines, and a county lifestyle magazine. This includes:
-News articles, reviews, features, and industry reports.
-Paid business profiles for clients who have purchased half- or full-page features.
Understanding the Business Landscape: Familiarity with the business world and its challenges is beneficial to create relevant and insightful content.
Regional News Coverage: Focus on success stories such as awards, contract wins, and other achievements. Each story must:
-Be properly sourced to avoid plagiarism, often starting from sources like competitor magazine sites, LinkedIn, or local authority platforms (e.g., Chambers of Commerce).
-Be traced back to its original source, such as the company’s website.
Client Interaction: Occasionally contact clients to verify details for news stories or business profiles. A professional and clear telephone manner is essential.
Required Skills and Attributes
Time Management: Ability to manage deadlines and juggle multiple tasks effectively.
Language Proficiency: Strong command of written and spoken English, with excellent grammar and attention to detail.
Technical Skills:
-Proficiency in word processing software (e.g., Microsoft Word).
-Basic familiarity with WordPress (training will be provided if necessary).
Interpersonal Skills: Confidence and clarity in communication when interacting with clients or tea
