General Description:
The Bookkeeper is responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of financial transactions by establishing accounts, recording, and posting transactions. The Bookkeeper also plays a key role in tracking expenses, managing invoices, and providing insights to support financial decision-making. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a deep understanding of bookkeeping principles and best practices.
Job Responsibilities:
- Full-Time Bookkeeper
- Maintain accounts by verifying, allocating, and posting transactions.
- Create profit and loss statements (P&Ls) in QuickBooks.
- Categorize expenses and revenues.
- Balance accounts by reconciling entries.
- Maintain historical records by filing documents.
- Enter customer checks and vendor invoices.
- Pay vendor invoices.
- Run reports for recommended purchases.
- Handle sales tax reports.
- Follow up with past-due customers.
- Enter received products into an accounting program.
- Print packaging slips and invoices.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local legal requirements.
Job Requirements:
- 1+ years of experience in a bookkeeping role.
- High proficiency in English.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret data.
- Attention to detail and focus.
- Strong math skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Proficient computer skills.
- Accurate data entry skills.
Proficiency in the following tools is required:
- QuickBooks
- Google Drive/Google Sheets
