Freelance Blog Editor & SEO Optimisation Specialist (UK English)

We are seeking a skilled freelance editor with experience in blog editing, SEO optimisation, and WordPress to refine and optimise a collection of approximately 50 blog posts. The content has already been written, and images have been provided; the task involves editing, enhancing readability, and ensuring each post is fully optimised for search engines.

Project Scope
Edit and proofread blog posts to ensure clarity, coherence, and correct UK English
Optimise content for SEO, including keyword integration, meta descriptions, alt text for images, internal linking, and formatting for readability
Ensure posts follow best practices for on-page SEO and user experience
Format posts to be engaging and well-structured, including headings, bullet points, and call-to-actions where relevant
Verify and adjust images as needed (alt text, sizing, placement)
Upload and format posts within WordPress, ensuring correct SEO settings and layout
Fact-check and ensure consistency in tone and style across all posts

Requirements
Proven experience in blog editing, content optimisation, and SEO
Strong command of UK English
Knowledge of SEO best practices, including keyword research, metadata, and formatting
Experience using WordPress to edit, format, and publish blog posts
Ability to work efficiently and deliver high-quality edits within an agreed timeframe

One-off project (approx. 50 blog posts)
Work is fully remote and deadline-driven
