Job Title: Controller

Location: Remote support for USA Pacific Standard Time
Hours: 8:00 AM-5:00 PM US Pacific Standard Time

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled Controller to oversee our financial
operations and ensure the accuracy and efficiency of our accounting processes. The ideal
candidate will have extensive experience with Sage Intacct and managing financials for multiple
business entities with several reporting units (stores) each. This role involves leading our
accounting team, managing financial reporting, and ensuring compliance with accounting
standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Financial Management:
o Oversee the day-to-day operations of the accounting department, including
accounts payable, revenue recognition and accounts receivable, and general
ledger functions.
o Manage financial reporting and ensure timely and accurate preparation of
financial statements for multiple entities.
o Monitor and analyze financial performance across various business units and
provide actionable insights to senior management.

2. Sage Intacct Administration:
o Utilize Sage Intacct for financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
o Configure and optimize Sage Intacct to enhance financial processes and
reporting capabilities.
o Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to Sage Intacct to ensure seamless
financial operations.
o Ability to integrate and validate third party financial data into Sage Intacct.
3. Compliance and Internal Controls:
o Ensure compliance with all relevant GAAP accounting principles, regulations,
and internal policies.
o Develop, implement, and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets
and ensure accuracy in financial reporting.
o Conduct regular audits and reviews to ensure adherence to accounting
standards and regulatory requirements.

o Prepare financial reports and supporting documentation to ensure an efficient
and timely independent review of financial statements and accounting system.

4. Team Leadership:
o Supervise and mentor the accounting team, providing guidance, training, and
performance evaluations.
o Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment within the finance
department.
o Manage recruitment, onboarding, and professional development for accounting
staff.

5. Budgeting and Forecasting:
o Lead the budgeting and forecasting processes, working closely with
departmental managers to develop accurate financial plans.
o Monitor budget performance and provide variance analysis and
recommendations for corrective actions.

6. Financial Strategy and Planning:
o Collaborate with senior management to develop financial strategies aligned with
organizational goals.
o Provide financial analysis and recommendations to support business decisions
and strategic initiatives.

Qualifications:
? Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or CMA certification
preferred.
? Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, with a strong background in
managing financials for multiple entities.
? Extensive experience with Sage Intacct or similar ERP systems is required.
? Proven ability to analyze financial data, prepare accurate reports, and provide strategic
insights.
? Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial regulations, and compliance
requirements.
? Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
? Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, remote
environment.
