JOB OVERVIEW

Job Summary:
The Financial Analyst - Account Reconciliation Specialist will play a key role in ensuring financial records are accurate and up-to-date. This role is focused on handling administrative tasks like reconciling accounts such as payroll, bonuses, payables, accounts receivable (A/R), and general ledger entries. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, and skilled in identifying and resolving discrepancies to ensure reliable financial data.
Key Responsibilities:
• Reconcile financial accounts, including payroll, bonuses, payables, A/R, and other ledger entries.
• Verify the accuracy of journal entries and address any inconsistencies or errors.
• Ensure financial data is complete and correct to support reporting needs.
• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring reconciliations are accurate and well-documented.
• Help prepare and review quarterly and annual financial reports.
• Work closely with accounting and finance teams to ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.
• Conduct regular checks and audits of data to maintain its integrity.
• Address queries related to account reconciliations and provide clarity to stakeholders.
• Support additional tasks and projects as needed.
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in accounting, financial analysis, or reconciliation.
• Knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
• Strong skills in Microsoft Excel and other financial tools.
• Excellent attention to detail and analytical abilities.
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines in a dynamic environment.
Preferred Skills:
• Familiarity with the mortgage or financial services sector.
• Experience using financial reporting and reconciliation tools.
• Ability to work well with diverse teams and across departments.
