About the Role:
As a FileMaker Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining custom FileMaker Pro database solutions. You will work closely with stakeholders to understand their business requirements and translate them into efficient and user-friendly database applications.
Key Responsibilities:
• Database Design:
o Analyze business processes and data requirements to design efficient database structures.
o Create data models, relationships, and scripts to ensure optimal performance and data integrity.
o Develop custom layouts and user interfaces that are intuitive and easy to navigate.
• Development:
o Write custom scripts and calculations to automate tasks and streamline workflows.
o Integrate FileMaker solutions with other systems and applications using APIs and web services.
o Develop custom plug-ins and extensions to enhance FileMaker functionality.
• Maintenance and Support:
o Provide ongoing maintenance and support for existing FileMaker applications.
o Troubleshoot and resolve database issues promptly.
o Implement updates and upgrades to ensure compatibility and security.
• Collaboration:
o Work closely with project managers, business analysts, and other tea
o Provide technical guidance and support to end-users.
Required Qualifications:
• Proven experience as a FileMaker Developer with a strong understanding of FileMaker Pro and FileMaker Server.
• Proven experience in FileMaker Pro 21.
• Proficiency in database design, scripting, and development techniques.
• Knowledge of SQL and other programming languages (e.g., PHP, JavaScript) is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with FileMaker Cloud, and FileMaker Go.
• Knowledge of cloud-based development and deployment.
• Certification in FileMaker development.
