Position Overview:
We are looking for an experienced and creative video editor who is comfortable working on a variety of video formats, from short-form social media content to long-form brand videos. The ideal candidate should be highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of taking raw footage and transforming it into compelling, visually appealing narratives.
Position Type: Part-Time (with potential to move to Full-Time based on performance)
Hours: 20 hours/week initially, with room to scale
Location: Remote

Key Responsibilities:
Video Editing:
Edit a variety of video content, including:
Social media reels and short-form content (15–60 seconds)
Brand story videos (3–5 minutes)
Event highlight reels (2–4 minutes)
YouTube videos (5+ minutes)
Promotional advertisements for small businesses
Incorporate B-roll, stock footage, and motion graphics to enhance storytelling and engagement
Optimize content for different platforms (Instagram,
Motion Graphics and Text Animation:
Create engaging, brand-appropriate motion graphics to enhance videos
Add lower thirds, captions, and call-to-action graphics that align with client branding
Color Correction and Sound Design:
Perform basic color correction and grading to maintain consistent visual quality
Optimize audio quality, including noise reduction and leveling when needed
Project Management:
Manage and organize project files efficiently
Handle proxy files and DRP files through OneDrive or Dropbox
Ensure timely delivery of high-quality video content within project deadlines
Collaboration and Feedback Implementation:
Work closely with the Life Echo Media team to understand project briefs, client objectives, and brand guidelines
Accept and implement constructive feedback to refine content
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 years of professional video editing experience, with a strong portfolio showcasing brand videos, social media content, and event highlights
Advanced proficiency in a high-level editing software (either Adobe Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve)
Strong understanding of pacing, rhythm, and visual storytelling to keep viewers engaged
Strong organizational and file management skills to ensure smooth project workflows
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently while adhering to deadlines
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with DaVinci Resolve or After Effects for advanced color grading or motion graphics
Basic knowledge of Photoshop or Canva for occasional graphic creation

Compensation and Growth Potential:
Hourly Rate: $8–$10 per hour, depending on experience and skill level
Workload: 20 hours per week to start, with potential to increase hours based on performance and project demand
Growth Potential: This role has strong potential to transition to a full-time position as we continue to scale our operations
