We’re seeking an experienced Mobile App Developer to join our team and lead the development of our native iOS and Android applications. This position offers both responsibility and authority over resources and results within our Engineering Department, focusing on creating and maintaining mobile apps that align with the company's long-term goals. You’ll work closely with multiple departments, including Sales, Marketing, Manufacturing, and Technical Service, while ensuring all documentation for manufacturing and app support is up-to-date and accurate.
Key Responsibilities
Develop & Oversee: Lead the development of new mobile applications from scratch while maintaining legacy apps.
Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with Sales, Marketing, Manufacturing, and Technical Service departments to ensure mobile apps meet company and user needs.
Stay Updated: Conduct research to remain up-to-date with emerging mobile app technologies and maintain a high quality and reliability standard.
Problem Solving: Diagnose and resolve technical issues, including bugs and quality control challenges.
Documentation: Contribute to the creation and maintenance of required documentation for internal and external app support.
About You
5+ Years of Experience in mobile app development, with a strong background in both Android and iOS.
Proficient in iOS & Android Tech Stacks:
iOS: Swift, MacOS, XCode
Android: Java, Kotlin, Android Studio
Additional Skills:
Experience with Testflight for app testing on iOS and Android platforms.
Familiarity with BLE and WiFi technology.
Proficiency in Git, with knowledge of Agile development and TDD (preferred).
Knowledge of C, C#, and C++ or hybrid app development (Flutter, Xamarin) is a plus.
Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
Personal Qualities: You’re independent, motivated, and creative, with a strong sense of initiative. You can work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and take ownership of your projects.
Preferred Qualifications
IoT Interest: Excited by the latest technologies and the intersection of software and hardware.
Flexible Availability: Ideally able to work at least 4 hours per day within the Pacific Time Zone.
Language Skills: Fluent in English for effective communication with clients and colleagues.
