Estimator/ Quantity Surveyor for Commercial Plastering

We are seeking an Estimator/Quantity Surveyor to join our team to undertake the role in Providing cost estimates and create the Scope of works for a commercial Plaster. The job role entails reading and interporating architectural drawings and specifications, in relation to Ceiling and Partion systems, External cladding and Carpentry works, across the commercial sector.

The following description is for the Job tasks and responsibilities required for this role.

- Be proficient with planswift and Excel software.

- Sound knowledge of construction/ reading and understanding architectural plans and specifications.

- Understanding Seismic/engineering requirements. *Not critical but willing to learn Australian requirements*

- Produce detailed scope of works and cost estimates.

- Conducting detailed take-offs, material pricing and labour assessments.

- Identifying potential cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.

- Ensure timely completion of estimate and tender ensuring KPI’s are met and exceeded.

- Accurately review variation requests and ensure accurate pricing is applied to produce required quote.

- Prepare and provide variation estimates.

- Create Templates in planswift

- Input data to planswift from suppliers

- Help make procedures

- Be able to work from home with good internet and mobile phone access

The successful candidate will have the skills and ability to take on the above requirements. You will be working with a lead estimator that will provide you with ongoing training and assistance, as you learn and adapt to the job role specifics.
