Job Description:

Our fast-growing national e-commerce business, Thermosoft Australia, is currently seeking a Estimator to join our team. As the Estimator, you will play a key role in delivering accurate and timely estimates that empower our customers to make informed decisions. You’ll work closely with sales, fulfillment, and technical teams to assess customer needs, prepare quotes, and ensure project requirements are met efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

- Prepare estimates and quotes for clients based on their requirements and project specifications.
- Collaborate with the sales and technical teams to ensure the accuracy of quotes and that proposed solutions align with customer needs.
- Interpret architectural and technical drawings to determine project scope, materials, and labor requirements.
- Research and calculate costs related to materials, labor, and subcontractor services.
- Update and maintain the estimating database to reflect current pricing and product availability.
- Communicate effectively with other team members to explain estimates, address questions, and clarify project details.
- Support the fulfillment team by ensuring that estimates translate smoothly into orders and project execution plans.

Desired Skills and Aptitudes:

- Required Skills:
- Experience in project estimation, preferably in a construction, heating, or e-commerce environment is an advantage
- Ability to read and interpret technical or architectural drawings.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent mathematical and analytical skills.
- Familiarity with estimating software or project management tools.
- Good English communication skills (both written and verbal) are required for effective collaboration with team members. While the role primarily involves estimating tasks and does not require direct verbal customer interaction, the ability to communicate clearly with teammates is essential.
- Proficiency with CRMs, project management platforms, and Excel/Google Sheets.
