JOB OVERVIEW

Job Overview
We are looking for a Payment Specialist & Dispute Resolution Expert to address payment failure issues and optimize payment workflows. Additionally, you will be the subject matter expert for dispute transactions, responsible for gathering evidence, submitting it to banks, and negotiating with card issuers. This role also involves managing multiple payment channels, ensuring smooth transactions, and improving payment efficiency and customer experience.
Responsibilities

Payment Issue Resolution:
Analyze and resolve payment failure issues, particularly related to settlement and transaction errors.
Utilize data analysis to identify root causes of payment failures and propose effective solutions.
Collaborate with development teams to optimize payment workflows and payment systems, increasing transaction success rates and payment efficiency.

Dispute Management:
Handle disputes, including gathering evidence, submitting it to banks and card issuers, and negotiating resolutions.
Manage chargebacks and payment disputes initiated by customers, ensuring they are resolved promptly and efficiently.
Maintain strong working relationships with issuing banks, payment gateways, and acquirers for effective dispute resolution and tracking.

Payment Channel Integration & Workflow Optimization:
Research and integrate new payment channels, platforms, and methods to ensure our payment system stays competitive in the market.
Optimize payment workflows to streamline processes, reduce friction, and improve both system stability and user experience.
Collaborate with internal teams (such as product, compliance, and development) to ensure payment processes comply with financial regulations and are continually improved.

Data Analysis & Reporting:
Use data analysis tools to monitor payment workflows and payment failure rates, providing trend forecasts and performance evaluations.
Prepare regular reports on payment operations and dispute management, offering business insights and recommendations.
Internal Team Collaboration:
Work closely with product managers, developers, and customer support teams to resolve payment-related issues.
Provide training and support to internal teams regarding payment processes and dispute resolution, enhancing overall business efficiency.

Payment Risk Management:
Identify payment risks and potential fraud, designing and implementing effective risk control measures.
Stay updated on industry trends to ensure our payment systems comply with both international and regional regulations.

Requirements
Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree or above in Finance, Economics, Computer Science, or related fields.
At least 3 years of experience in the payments industry, with a focus on payment solutions, failure rate optimization, or dispute management.

Skills:
Expertise in the payments industry, especially in payment failure rate management, dispute resolution, and chargeback processes.
Familiarity with major payment channels (e.g., credit card payments, PayPal, Apple Pay, Stripe) and related payment protocols (e.g., PCI DSS) and compliance requirements.
Strong problem analysis and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to quickly pinpoint issues and implement innovative solutions.
Experience working with banks, card issuers, and financial institutions, understanding best practices in dispute handling.
Proficiency in using data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL) to monitor and analyze payment data.
Strong communication skills and a collaborative team spirit, capable of effectively interacting with internal and external teams.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in cross-border payments, particularly with multi-currency and international payment platforms.
Technical background in payment platforms or gateways, with the ability to collaborate with tech teams to optimize payment processes.
Knowledge of the latest payment technologies and trends, providing forward-looking business insights.
