As the Director of Billing, you will build, train, lead and manage the RCM functions of our client’s Philippines based DME operations, ensuring all sales orders are processed accurately and timely through Brightree software. You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with insurance requirements, managing denials, obtaining prior authorizations, and overseeing patient billing and collections. You will lead a team based in the Philippines, working during US business hours, and provide strategic direction to optimize our client’s billing processes.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and manage all RCM operations, from processing sales orders through Brightree to managing patient billing and collections.
• Ensure all required documentation is obtained and on file before billing insurance, including any prior authorization requests.
• Train and build a high-performing team responsible for handling all billing functions, with a focus on accuracy and compliance.
• Respond to billing denials and appeals, ensuring they are resolved within insurance timely filing guidelines.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure a smooth billing process, resolving any operational issues that may arise.
• Monitor and improve the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the billing team, implementing best practices to reduce denials and improve collections.
• Provide expert guidance on Brightree software, ensuring the team is fully trained and the system is optimized for RCM operations.
• Work closely with leadership to implement strategic initiatives that improve revenue cycle performance and maximize cash flow.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in accounting, finance, business administration, healthcare management, or a related field.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience managing revenue cycle management (RCM) the Philippines based operations for a US DME company.
• Proven experience with back-office operations in the Philippines, particularly related to billing and collections.
• Expert knowledge of Brightree software, with the ability to train staff and optimize system use.
• Excellent English language skills, both written and spoken.
• Strong leadership and team-building abilities, with a focus on training and developing staff in a remote setting.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to ensure compliance with all insurance and billing regulations.
• Strong problem-solving skills, particularly in handling denials and appeals within timely filing guidelines.
• Willingness to work night shifts to align with US business hours.
