OVERVIEW

Our client is a business solutions company that helps entrepreneurs and businesses streamline their operations through expert virtual services and creative workflow solutions. They are seeking a Digital Marketing Specialist for an ongoing freelance position. While the role primarily focuses on managing social media packages, successful candidates can expand their services to handle additional digital marketing projects based on their expertise and client needs. There is no limit to the number of clients you can take on, allowing for significant growth potential.

This is a highly flexible position where you can build your own client portfolio. Hours are determined by your client load and project scope, with the only fixed requirement being availability during Canadian Eastern Standard Time for occasional client meetings and status updates.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Lead the execution of social media packages across multiple client accounts, including strategy development, content creation, and performance monitoring
- Create and manage content calendars for various social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.)
- Develop engaging social media graphics and templates using design tools
- Conduct social media audits and competitive analysis for client accounts
- Perform keyword research and trend analysis to optimize content strategy
- Write compelling social media copy that aligns with client brand voice and objectives
- Set up and manage paid social media campaigns, including budget management and performance optimization
- Generate monthly performance reports and provide actionable insights to clients
- Collaborate with Client Success Managers to ensure client satisfaction and project success
- Handle community management and engagement across client social media accounts
- Research and implement social listening strategies to improve client brand presence
- Stay current with digital marketing trends and platform updates to suggest improvements
- Support additional digital marketing projects as needed (email marketing, content writing, SEO)
- Effectively utilize AI tools to enhance content creation, research, and workflow efficiency
- Balance AI-assisted tools with human creativity to maintain authentic brand voices

The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented professional who can handle multiple client projects across these service tiers while maintaining high-quality standards and meeting deadlines.


IDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILE

*Required Qualifications:

3+ years of experience in digital marketing with a focus on social media management
Proven track record of managing multiple social media accounts simultaneously
Strong proficiency in social media management tools (e.g., Radaar, Buffer, Hootsuite)
Experience with graphic design tools (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
Strong analytical skills and experience with social media analytics
Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines
Experience with paid social media advertising (Facebook Ads, LinkedIn Ads)
Experience with AI tools for content creation and marketing automation

*Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working with remote teams and clients
Knowledge of SEO best practices
Experience with email marketing platforms
Content writing and copywriting skills
Experience with project management tools (Basecamp)
Understanding of various industries and ability to adapt tone accordingly
Background in creating and executing digital marketing strategies
Experience with AI writing assistants and content generation tools
Understanding of AI's capabilities and limitations in digital marketing
Proven ability to maintain brand authenticity while leveraging AI tools
