JOB OVERVIEW

We are looking for a Full-Time Designer + Backup Customer Service Representative to join our growing team for our printing & personalized service business in Southern California, and would like to hire someone experienced for a long-term position, Graveyard Shift 8/9am-5/6pm PST only!

Responsibilities:

Coordinate and communicate with sales/operations team members and other departments directly (Pacific Standard Time - PST zone)
Work under supervision of other Designers and CSRs, and Sales/Ops Management
Work with clients & prospects & suppliers to create final print design concepts (including specifications for images, colors, fonts, text, and layout etc)
Modify submitted artwork for printable options (Pre-press)
Will be in constant contact with CSRs + suppliers from estimate to production until completion
Communicate with clients & prospects & suppliers via emails/calls, and manage their orders from estimate to production until completion via various operating systems
Coordinate with the COO and Sales/Ops Management for any complex projects or issues
Information updates pertaining to assigned artwork/design for estimates/orders are communicated via Asana, Gmail, Google Drive/Sheets/Docs, our printing software systems, and any other apps/software used by the organization
Any other Sales/Operations, Production & Design tasks that is assigned
Any other design or CSR tasks that surfaced & need assistance assigned by current Designers + CSRs
Attend necessary training/coaching sessions, and/or mandatory meetings with teams, management, department, or company-wide


Job Requirements:

Must have excellent skills in graphic design softwares and technologies such as Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and similar softwares.
Be able to solve conversions using the Standard Measurement System
Can multi-task at least 5 complex projects/workflows at any given moment under pressure, while keeping an eye for constant communication (messaging, email, calls)
Must be able to meet deadlines in a fast-paced & quick-changing environment
Prioritize & adjust daily as needed ~ Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision, while organizing a daily workload by priorities
Critical thinking & proactiveness ~ Come up with solutions & ideas by thinking “outside the box” for different scenarios, proactive approach to problem-solving with good decision-making skills. Continually look for a better way of doing things
Fast scanning & good memorization skills ~ Reading, analyzing, researching and organizing data to provide the correct necessary information
Has work experiences of: Designer, Pre-press Artist, Project Management Team-oriented related work experiences (minimum 2 years, prefer 5+yrs if combined)
Excellent verbal & written English communication skills
Understanding of common American-English shorthand vocabulary & abbreviations
Can be on virtual calls with the team members for up to combined 8 hours per shift.
Can accommodate scheduled weekly meetings & trainings during PST hours (Even if already worked 8 hours on the same day)
Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office & Adobe Creative Suite applications, including special & editing features
Good understanding of G-suite (Google Drive & Google Sheets/Docs & Gmail system) including editing & sharing & delegation features
Fast-learner on new softwares & application
Required Equipments:
Reliable computer (minimum of 16Gb RAM) with mouse or drawing pad, which can run & operate design software and admin apps at the same time
Noise-cancellation headset with mouthpiece (minimum 15+hr talk time if wireless)
Additional computer or TV screen to effectively monitor various projects' progress
Stable wired internet connection (minimum of 100/300 Mbps), which can run & operate at least 8+ apps with 5+ browser windows (5+tabs each) at the same time. NOT pre-paid wireless modem dependable on cellular network only
