Design Manager/Lead

Role: Design Lead (Full-time)

Location: Remote (PH)

Shift: Flexible, Monday-Friday only

Job Overview:

As the Design Lead, you'll be guiding the design team to build custom websites and graphics for clients. You'll shape and improve design processes while working closely with the SEO and web development teams. You'll also manage client communications to get design approvals. This means talking with clients, understanding their feedback, and passing it on to the design team, or handling some design mockups/updates yourself. Since you'll be emailing clients daily, strong communication skills are essential.

Furthermore, we expect that you can:

- manage a design team (we have 2 existing designers)
- oversee and always on top of the design projects (if you are not proactive, this is not for you!)
- improve existing design processes to streamline web design and development
- identify and incorporate the best designs and processes into our system so that we can continuously improve output and quality
-developing and maintaining design libraries (not pretty designs but instead serve a purpose for our SEO clients)
-communicate with clients and understand their needs
-communicate client business goals to the dev team to make sure that designs have a business impact on clients
-collaborate with the SEO team to back up their campaigns
-Do quality checking of live URL before and after launch

Job Requirements:

1. A Paypal account (we pay through Paypal).
2. At least 2+ years of experience in a design role with at least one year of leadership experience and team management.
3. Advance-level knowledge of the software Figma; Proficiency in other design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite and Sketch is a plus
4. Knowledge/experience and a thorough understanding in designing (or building) a number of WordPress (or any CMS) websites.
5. Has experience using project management software such as ClickUp, Asana, Airtable, or similar tools.
6. Strong portfolio showcasing a variety of design projects and styles
7. A deep understanding of design principles, user-centered design, user experience (UX) design, and the ability to look for those and translate them into design/development.
8. Exceptional communication skills with solid English proficiency both written and verbal
9. Demonstrates understanding of SEO requirements in design decisions
10. With a keen eye for details and quality control
