JOB OVERVIEW

We seek to combine the power of AI and humans to enable dental clinics in the US to focus on providing the best dental care to patients while we take care of their necessary back-office revenue cycle management work. We are seeking an experienced dental biller to join our team.

*Responsibilities*:
- Process Explanation of Benefits (EOBs):
- Review and interpret EOBs to ensure accurate payment posting and account reconciliation.
- Insurance Claims Submission:
- Prepare, submit, and track dental insurance claims electronically.
- Verify the accuracy of billing data and correct any discrepancies.
- Insurance Appeals:
- Manage denied or underpaid claims by initiating insurance appeals.
- Communicate with insurance companies to resolve discrepancies and secure payments.
- Insurance Aging Management:
- Monitor insurance aging reports to identify outstanding claims.
- Follow up with insurance providers to expedite claim processing and payments.
- Accounts Receivable Management:
- Maintain accurate records of patient accounts and outstanding balances.
- Coordinate with patients and insurance companies to resolve billing issues.
- Compliance and Documentation:
- Ensure all billing activities comply with industry regulations and HIPAA guidelines.
- Keep detailed records of all communications and transactions.
- Software Utilization:
- Utilize dental billing software efficiently for all billing operations.
- Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with the Toothy AI team to enhance billing processes.
- Provide feedback on billing practices and suggest improvements.

*Qualifications*:
Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in dental billing and insurance processing.
- Familiarity with EOBs, insurance claims, appeals, and aging reports.

Technical Skills:
- Proficient in dental billing software.
- Strong understanding of dental terminology and billing codes.

Adaptability:
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and systems.

Communication Skills:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Ability to interact professionally with teaUpgrade to see actual infombers and insurance representatives.

Attention to Detail:
- High level of accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
- Strong analytical skills to identify and resolve billing issues.

Organizational Skills:
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Strong time-management skills.
