Position Title: Database Analyst
Location: Remote
Starting Pay: PHP 25,000

Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Database Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing, analyzing, and optimizing databases to ensure data integrity, availability, and security. This role involves working closely with other IT professionals, business analysts, and stakeholders to ensure that data is utilized effectively for decision-making and business operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Database Management:
Design, implement, and maintain databases to meet business needs.
Monitor database performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure data integrity and availability.
Perform regular database backups, restores, and disaster recovery testing.

Data Analysis & Reporting:
Analyze and interpret data from multiple sources to support business decisions.
Design and generate reports and dashboards that meet the needs of various departments and stakeholders.
Provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis to improve business performance.

Data Security & Integrity:
Ensure databases are secure by implementing appropriate security measures and protocols.
Conduct regular data quality checks to ensure accuracy, consistency, and completeness of data.
Implement and manage access controls and user permissions for sensitive data.

Collaboration & Documentation:
Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to gather data requirements and ensure alignment with business needs.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of database structures, procedures, and data flows.
Assist in training team members on database management and data best practices.

Troubleshooting & Support:
Provide support in resolving data-related issues and troubleshooting database problems.
Assist in troubleshooting application errors related to data access and integrity.

Compliance & Standards:
Ensure adherence to industry standards, regulations, and best practices regarding data management and privacy.
Stay up-to-date with the latest database technologies, trends, and security practices.


Qualifications:
Experience (preferred but not required)
Experience as a Database Analyst or in a similar role.
Experience with database management systems such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, or SQL Server.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
