Data Visualization Specialist (Google Looker Studio & QuickBooks Integration)

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented VA who specializes in data visualization and dashboard development to join our team. Your primary responsibility will be creating custom dashboards using Google Looker Studio and integrating data from tools like QuickBooks Online. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys building clean, functional, and insightful dashboards that help businesses track their financial performance and key metrics.

Responsibilities:

1. Pull and Transform Data:
- Connect QuickBooks Online and other data sources using tools like Coupler.io, Zapier, or APIs.
- Clean and organize raw financial data (e.g., invoices, expenses, accounts).

2. Dashboard Creation:
- Design and build custom dashboards using Google Looker Studio to display key metrics:
- Revenue trends (e.g., income by month, service type).
- Profit and Loss summaries.
- KPI scorecards (e.g., gross profit %, average job duration, WIP timelines).

3. Automate Reporting:
- Ensure dashboards are live and automatically updated (e.g., daily or weekly refresh).

4. Collaborate and Improve:
- Work with me to understand what visualizations are needed (e.g., line charts, bar charts, tables).
- Suggest improvements for better data insights and visualization clarity.

Requirements:

- Experience building dashboards using Google Looker Studio or similar BI tools (Power BI, Tableau).
- Proficient in data integration tools like Coupler.io, Zapier, or similar platforms.
- Strong understanding of QuickBooks Online (P&L, invoices, and account-level data).
- Ability to clean, transform, and organize data for reporting purposes.
- Advanced skills in Google Sheets/Excel (formulas, pivot tables, data cleaning).
- Basic understanding of financial metrics like Revenue, Profit, and KPIs.
- Excellent communication skills to clarify tasks and collaborate.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of working independently.

Nice-to-Have (Bonus Skills):

- Knowledge of SQL for advanced data queries.
- Experience working with APIs to connect data sources.
- Past experience creating financial dashboards or reports for businesses.
