JOB OVERVIEW

Job Overview:
This role is critical in supporting the daily operations of a service-based business specializing in home maintenance. The assistant will handle a wide range of responsibilities including customer communication, scheduling, dispatching technicians, and managing marketing efforts. This role requires excellent communication skills, the ability to resolve scheduling conflicts effectively, and competence in using digital tools for marketing and customer management.

Responsibilities:
Customer Service: Answer phone calls primarily in the afternoon; manage customer inquiries and complaints with professionalism and care.
Scheduling and Dispatch: Efficiently schedule services and dispatch technicians, ensuring optimal routing and timing. Handle scheduling conflicts promptly and effectively by engaging with customers and technicians to rearrange appointments as necessary.
Marketing Support: Assist in the execution of marketing campaigns, including email marketing and social media management. Utilize tools like Zapier and Mailchimp to streamline processes. Should be able to use automation tools like ChatGPT to generate content for communications.
Operational Support: Collaborate with the management team to refine operational procedures and ensure that the business adapts to changing demands.
Critical Thinking: Apply problem-solving skills to handle unexpected issues in daily operations, particularly in managing logistical challenges.

Required Skills:
Strong understanding of customer service principles and ability to engage positively with customers.
Proficiency in digital marketing tools and platforms, including social media, email marketing software (e.g., Mailchimp), and basic automation (e.g., Zapier).
Ability to handle scheduling software and coordinate logistics effectively.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to work independently and think critically to solve scheduling and operational problems.

Desirable Attributes:
Experience in a service-based industry, particularly one involving home maintenance or similar fields.
Comfortable with technology and quick to adapt to new software.
A proactive attitude towards handling tasks and a capacity to learn from feedback.
