Doodles and Digits is an educational company that creates engaging math videos and resources for elementary students. Our mission is to make math fun and accessible for all learners. We have a popular YouTube channel, a PBS show, and a growing online presence.

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly creative and motivated Virtual Assistant to join our team and help us expand our reach and impact. In this role, you will play a key part in creating engaging social media content, designing eye-catching thumbnails, and repurposing our long-form videos into shareable short-form content.

Responsibilities:

Social Media Content Creation:
Develop and design engaging social media posts (images, text, videos) for various platforms (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest) that align with our brand voice and style guide.
Brainstorm creative content ideas that resonate with our target audience (teachers, parents, and elementary students).
Source high-quality images and video clips to use in social media posts.
Stay up-to-date on social media trends and best practices.
Thumbnail Design:
Create eye-catching and engaging thumbnails for YouTube videos that entice viewers to click.
Ensure thumbnails are consistent with our brand and video content.
Use design tools like Canva to create visually appealing graphics.
Content Repurposing:
Repurpose long-form YouTube videos into shorter, shareable clips for platforms like TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts.
Identify key moments and highlights from videos to create engaging short-form content.
Add text overlays, music, and sound effects to enhance short-form videos.
Other Tasks:
Assist with basic administrative tasks as needed.
Participate in team meetings and brainstorming sessions.
Stay organized and meet deadlines.
Qualifications:

Proven creativity and design skills: Must have a strong portfolio or examples of previous creative work (social media posts, graphics, video editing).
Excellent communication skills: Must be able to communicate effectively in English, both written and spoken.
Strong attention to detail: Must be meticulous and ensure accuracy in all tasks.
Proficiency in design tools: Experience with Canva or similar design software is essential.
Video editing skills: Experience with video editing software (e.g., iMovie, Adobe Premiere Pro) is a plus.
Passion for education: A genuine interest in education and a desire to make a positive impact on students is preferred.
Strong work ethic: Must be reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently.
Reliable internet connection: Must have a stable internet connection for remote work.
