JOB OVERVIEW

Hello! I estimate façade projects for an installing contractor in California, often working on exciting projects with renowned architects. I'm looking for help with performing takeoffs/quantity surveys and preparing estimates and proposals. This position requires somewhat more than counting quantities on architectural drawings, and extends to reviewing specifications and other bidding documents for a holistic understanding of the façade scope of work.

Duties will include:
--performing on screen takeoffs (quantity surveys) utilizing Bluebeam Revu (I can provide a license for this software if needed.)
--organizing bid documents in Google Drive for collaboration/sharing
--reviewing specifications and taking notes
--reviewing other bid documents, like construction schedule, instructions to bidders, etc. and taking pertinent notes
--preparing estimates with quantities, ideally using Microsoft Excel documents
--preparing proposals with basic information, ideally using Microsoft Word documents
--preparing requests for information (RFI's)

Skills should include:
--Familiarity with Bluebeam Revu
--Microsoft office tools, especially Excel and Word
--Familiarity with Google Drive
--Strong organizational skills
--Strong ability to read architectural drawings, including structural and MEP drawings as well. In particular, the ability to interpret 2D drawings, comparing plans, reflected ceiling plans, wall sections, and details for a thorough understanding of a particular scope of work.

Bonus skills include:
--Experience with estimating façades and exterior cladding of buildings, like curtain wall, metal panels, rainscreen systems, etc.
--Experience with Revit and 3D models

-->If you feel you meet the above criteria and are interested in applying for this job, please let me know the following:

1) Describe your estimating experience, and experience with façades.
2) Describe your experience with Bluebeam Revu. Do you already have the software or do you need a license?
3) Let me know what you had for dinner last night.
4) Describe your experience with Microsoft Excel and Word.

Thanks and I look forward to hearing from you!
--Robert
