Five Brothers Construction and Consultation in Sandy Utah, is looking for A Construction Coordinator with Billing Experience is a professional who plays a key role in managing construction projects while also handling financial aspects such as invoicing, billing, and tracking costs. This position requires a blend of organizational, communication, and financial skills. Below are the key responsibilities, skills, and qualifications typically associated with this role:

Key Responsibilities:

Project Coordination:

Oversee day-to-day activities on construction sites to ensure projects are progressing according to schedule and within budget.
Coordinate between different teams such as contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients.
Ensure that construction activities are aligned with project timelines, milestones, and quality standards.
Budget Management & Cost Tracking:

Monitor and track project expenses to ensure adherence to budget.
Assist in estimating and forecasting project costs, ensuring the project remains financially viable.
Review and approve invoices from subcontractors, suppliers, and other third parties.

Billing and Invoicing:

Prepare and submit accurate billing for the client, ensuring that all work completed is captured.
Manage change orders and ensure that additional work is billed accordingly.
Maintain records of all invoices, payments, and financial transactions.
Resolve billing disputes and discrepancies in a timely manner.

Document Management:

Maintain detailed records of all contracts, change orders, and other financial documentation related to the project.
Ensure that all required paperwork (permits, contracts, and financial reports) is completed accurately and submitted on time.
Compliance and Regulations:

Ensure that the project adheres to all relevant legal, regulatory, and safety requirements.
Assist with inspections, permits, and necessary regulatory filings.
Stay updated on industry standards, safety regulations, and billing practices.

Client & Stakeholder Communication:

Act as a liaison between clients and contractors, ensuring that client needs and expectations are met.
Provide regular updates on project status, timelines, and any changes to the scope of work.
Address any client concerns related to billing, project progress, or other aspects.

Quality Control:

Monitor quality control to ensure that all work meets the required standards and specifications.
Address any issues related to project defects, delays, or quality concerns.
Skills & Competencies:
Construction Knowledge:

Familiarity with construction processes, terminology, and procedures.
Understanding of construction scheduling and project management tools.

Billing & Financial Management:

Experience with invoicing, billing systems, and cost management software.
Knowledge of contract terms, payment schedules, and how to manage project financials.

Project Management:

Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
Ability to track project progress, ensuring all aspects are on schedule.
Attention to Detail:

Ensuring accuracy in invoicing, cost estimates, and project timelines.
Ability to spot discrepancies in billing and financial documentation.
Problem Solving:

Ability to resolve billing disputes, coordinate logistical issues, and address project delays.
Communication:

Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders.
Ability to explain technical or financial information to non-experts.
Software Proficiency:

Familiarity with project management software (e.g., Procore, Buildertrend, or CoConstruct).
Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or similar platforms).
Education & Experience:
Education: A background in construction management, business administration, or a related field is common, though some may have gained experience directly through hands-on work in the construction industry.
Experience: Several years of experience in construction management or coordination, with some exposure to financial management or billing responsibilities.
Certifications: While not always required, certifications like Project Management Professional (PMP) or Construction Manager Certification (CM) can enhance credibility.
