JOB OVERVIEW

Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Community Builder/Manager to join our team and oversee the engagement and growth of our vibrant Facebook group, "Aquariums for Beginners," which currently has 550k members. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about fostering online communities, delivering value to members, and integrating subtle advertising strategies that enhance user experience without disrupting the organic nature of discussions. Huge plus if you also like fish tanks and have an aquarium of your own!

The position is part-time, with a commitment of 20-30 hours per week. However, there is potential for the role to become full-time in the future.

Responsibilities:

- Actively engage with group members by answering questions, starting discussions, and sharing valuable content related to aquariums and aquatic hobbies.

- Manage daily interactions within the group to ensure a welcoming and helpful environment for all members.

- Strategically introduce advertisements, promotions, and sponsored content in a subtle, non-disruptive manner that aligns with the group’s organic tone and values.

- Monitor community metrics (engagement rate, new member growth, and feedback) to continuously improve group activity and value delivery.

- Address member concerns, moderate posts and comments, and ensure adherence to group rules.

- Collaborate with the broader team to align community engagement with broader marketing and business goals.

Requirements:

- Written and verbal English proficiency & ability to use ChatGPT seamlessly

- Proven experience managing or moderating Facebook groups or other online communities.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to balance organic community engagement with subtle advertising strategies.

- Passion for aquariums, aquatic life, or similar hobbies is a MAJOR plus!

- Self-motivated, proactive, and organized with the ability to work independently.

- Proven experience managing or moderating Facebook groups or other online communities.

- Experience with social media marketing and Canva would be well regarded
